This is Shizuoka Distillery's second release of "K" single malt, following its "Prologue K" single malt release. This is also the first commercially available Japanese single malt made from 100% Japanese barley - a huge milestone for the Japanese Ji-whisky revolution!
This Pot Still "K" Single Malt is made with Shizuoka Distillery's ex-Karuizawa still (a vintage pot still salvaged from legendary Japanese ghost distillery Karuizawa), and is made from a mashbill of 100% Japanese malted barley. It is then matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon and ex-Wine casks.
