This Komagatake expression was distilled at Mars Shinshu Distillery and then aged for three years in bourbon barrels in the aging cellars of Tsunuki Distillery - Mars' second distillery after Shinshu. The bottle commemorates the opening of the Tsunuki Distillery.
This had been aged mostly in bourbon barrels and brings a delicious array of notes to the table, including sweet apple, citrus fruits, toasted almonds and whipped cream. Limited to just 2,382 bottles.
Tasting notes
Nose: Nutty, light peat, vanilla and cream.
Taste: Fresh, mild and sweet woodiness, light almond flakes, clarified apple juice, lemon peel and cream.
Finish: Fading notes of aromatic smoke.
