The Cosmo blend from Mars Maltage combines malts from Shinshu in Japan with several undisclosed Scottish malts. A big hit when released at the 2015 Tokyo International Bar Show, this became a permanent addition to the fledgling distillery's range.
Nose: Soft vanilla notes up front, joined by sweet red fruit (think cherry and sugary raspberry).
Palate: Orange oil and chocolate, fresh barley and toasty oak.
Finish: Fresh plum and white grape. Cereals and chocolate biscuits.
