Glentauchers Distillery was first established in 1898 to provide a source of whisky for James Buchanan's Black & White blended Scotch. Its single malts are generally known to be lighter-tasting and floral.

This expression was matured in an ex-bourbon cask, before being transferred to an active Oloroso cask for finishing. It demonstrates the level of complexity and texture attained with long-term aging of Glentauchers' whisky.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Spiced vanilla, warm and packed with delicate fruit aromas. Thick honey and gingerbread.

Palate: Rich caramel, a hint of salt and cracked black pepper. Very rich and velvety, this is an easy-drinking whisky. The flavours imparted by the sherry cask are there but don't dominate.

Finish: A long, oaky finish, with some lingering cinnamon and sherried notes.
