Tomintoul is a Speyside Scotch distillery that is known to produce richly sherried whiskies that feature black tea notes, caramel, honey, as well as light grains and fruits, from bananas, to guavas and papayas. It is distinctively gentle and buttery in its texture but perfumery and fruity with a zingy citric zest on the nose and palate.

If you're into earl grey tea cakes, roast chicken or fruity whiskies, this one's for you!

Fun Fact: Tomintoul Distillery holds the Guinness World Record for producing the largest bottle of whisky in the world, containing 105.3 litres of 14-year-old Tomintoul malt whisky.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: A whiff of tobacco and also rather sweet. Faint herbals (sage and thyme in particular) and some notes of lemon cheesecake, guava and honey.

Palate: Slight sweetness and a certain citrusy note. Clean and pleasant, with the herbs transferring onto the palate. Sponge cake and butter.

Finish: Quite drying and with lingering oaky notes, along with brown sugar and black pepper.
