Ok holy shit, Norway knows how to do meads. This is a real cherry bomb. Rich, sweet cherries, with a mild secondary scent of dark fruits like plums. The farmy mead backbone is also entirely noticeable upon closer inspection. Vanilla notes are also subtly present. Upon tasting, the mead is not overtly sweet, even though it definitely is. Huge cherry explosion and finishes like an actual cherry does, leaving behind a fresh greeny cherry flavour on the tongue. Dry oaky and vanilla flavours are also present from the onset to the finish. This mead is so stupidly balanced, I am in absolute awe. Mouthfeel is syrupy and thick, easily coating your mouth in just a tiny sip.
Don't sleep on Norwegian meads y'all, easily a contender to any meads from the US.
Time to hunt BA LERVIG now!!
