Beer Reviews

Call Spiceman Saison, 1925 Brewing Co, 5% ABV

It's always very interesting to see some collabs with other local artisans who are unrelated to beer brewing. Hence I find this really fascinating which was for deepavali last year.

I first had this on draft at the 1925 restaurant at Joo Chiat and decided there then that I have to make a review on this.

This cloudy pale yellow ale is extra bubbly with a slightly sour/orangey taste. The bitterness was very sharp and doesn't last long. It's pretty dry and it was recommended to have this with curry or spicy food. I would imagine this beer as a really good means of clearing the palate due to the high carbonation, the sourness would serve as a nice way to reignite someone's appetite after having some curry (especially those thick and creamy ones).

Looking forward to another seasonal this coming deepavali!
