Red Dot left me a really good impression from their IPA when I first started my craft beer journey. Hence always had a special place in my heart β€οΈπ.
Cream stouts from what I read is different from your regular stout mainly due to the addition of lactose. Interestingly, they used to add milk and call it milk stout to make it seem nutritional but this name was banned from being used for a while back in 1940s due to the same reason.

I think the key thing here is to get the right balance between sweetness and the cocoa/coffee/roasty taste of the stout.
This cream stout was light and drinkable. It had a very subtle sweetness on top of the coffee notes. There was a little herbal like aftertaste too.
Of course, one thing to note is if you're lactose intolerant, you should give this a miss. π
