Beer Reviews

East of the Sun by Dry & Bitter Brewing Company

East of the Sun | “East Coast” IPA 5.9% ABV
Double dry-hopped with Citra, Mosaic and Ekuanot.

The NEIPA side of Dry and Bitter’s latest Versus series, where everything’s made up and the hops don’t matter.. I mean, everything on the bill of ingredients is the same except the yeast. Sorry, I couldn’t resist the Whose Line joke.

Beer-centred outings are rare for me these days, so I went full craft beer nerd and brought my own glass.

This learned me the difference wot wheat and oats make in an NEIPA by their absence here. The beer was a bit under-powered too, which made for an underwhelming initial impression. Only when it had had some time to warm up did the mango and pineapple notes become more prominent.

An instructive beer but once was enough for me. Wouldn’t rush out to have this again.
