Eclipse of the Sun Scottish Ale, Sunbird Brewing

Eclipse of the Sun

I almost forgot there was this one style that I really like as it's simply just malty, bread, roasty and sweet. I've tried this style a couple of times in Taiwan craft beers and it goes well when brewed with tea and brown sugar.

This classic one from Sunbird was no exception. Poured with a nice copper red body, it was super malty, roasty and bready on the nose. There is a pronounced sweetness in the aftertaste partly due to the low bitterness from the hops. While is slightly higher in alcohol content, it's quite crushable in my opinion. At higher temperatures, the alcohol smell seems to be more obvious, another reason to gulp it up quickly!
