Finally got to try some of the highest rated Austrian beers!! Bottle came with a cork which was surprising but did not pop anywhere near as much as expected it to. Well made barleywine with notes of dark fruits, roasted malts, chicken essence and a mild saltiness. Not a sweet/pastry barleywine by any means but has a well rounded and harmonious flavour. Mild tannins and barrel notes to round off the flavour. Also mildly carbonated with a medium mouthfeel and finish.
