Mandai Lager

It's always welcoming to see new local brewers coming on board. District Brewers started in Jul 2021 and most recently launched their beers just last month! In my opinion, I feel their launch was quite well executed and how the beers are quite readily available in most distribution channels was also quite key to the success.

Back to this lager, it poured with a golden body. It was herby and citrusy on the nose. Mouthfeel was light, carbonation was moderate high with slight spiciness aftertaste and a little lingering bitterness.

At higher temperatures the citrus become more pronounced along with the bitterness resulting in a limish taste which wasn't that great. So, it's important to finish this fast!

The artwork was really attractive and probably one of the reasons I picked it up at Cold Storage. If I'm not wrong it was reasonably priced at 6ish SGD. 🍻
