Being a durian lover, I can't imagine how this beer would turn out. In my opinion it could really go either way. Cos if you think about it, I don't think we eat durian because of its smell? It's mostly because of the custardly, creamy and godly sweet taste of it. So if you ferment it with beer and leave with only the smell.....
You get the idea right?
Fermented with real MSW, the smell was not overpowering, in fact it's a little more like a jackfruit. It had a creamy mouthfeel almost like a hazy IPA and subtling sweet.
This is a seasonal beer in collab with @durianedition. Another daring brew from 1925. 🍺
