We tried out Trigona. Rectangular mirror pieces intricately laced and surrounded the bar. Strings of tiny bulbs dropped from the high ceilings in symmetrical patterns. Canisters of bees’ nest placed on each table. So I asked the bartender for a Lunar New Year inspired cocktail. He focussed and minutes later brought me a concoction of Fords Gin with dashes of elderflower liqueur, sprays of lavender syrup and drops of lemon juice. He named it Nectar No. 2. The floral undertones and bouquet were meant to symbolise good fortune, continuous blossoms, calmness and growing blessings. A great way to usher in the Chinese New Year! Happy Lunar New Year to all you folks out there!!
