Jarrold's London Dry Gin

So you know...we all see the world from our own little bubble or bubbles....

It’s ‘bubbles’ for today’s #GinADayMay and Jarrolds Gin was my pick (with the wonderful bubbles accessory courtesy of my 4 year old 😂!!)

This small batch number has sat on my shelf for a couple of years now. With its stained glass window bottle design, it was just too pretty to open. I finally caved in today!

This is a bold 48% ABV, yet not overpowering.

It’s packed with grains of paradise, cardamom, Angelica, calamus root, coriander, juniper and finally, the star ingredient, Persian limes.

With the big waft of juniper, you’re definitely nosing gin. The grains of paradise opens up your palate and the Persian limes add such a delightful hint of citrus. The calamus root, coriander and cardamom lend tinges of heat towards the finish.

An extremely well balanced juniper forward gin. This would be one of those that I would savour every sip!

I had this with a generous pour of soda and garnished with thyme.
