Corazon Tequila Thugs On Our Heartstrings With 2023 Collection Featuring A New Weller 12 Anejo

Corazon, which if you didn't already know means "heart" in Spanish, is back at it with their Expresiones del Corazón 2023 Collection, which will feature tequila aged in Sazerac's range of ex-whiskey casks.

Corazon the brand while owned by American whiskey giant Sazerac, has tequila that is imported from Mexico made by the family owned Casa San Matias distillery.

The 2023 range will feature two new expressions - a Corazon Weller 12 Anejo and a Corazon French Oak Anejo, with the other whiskey cask aged expressions brought over from last year's collection.

The 2023 Line Up:

  • Corazón Weller 12 Añejo Tequila: matured for 26 months in ex-Weller 12 Kentucky Straight Bourbon barrels.
  • Corazón French Oak Añejo Tequila: aged for at least 13 months in French oak barrels that formerly aged Old Charter Oak French Oak bourbon.
  • Corazón Sazerac Rye 18 Añejo Tequila: 24 months of aging in barrels that formerly held Sazerac Rye for 18 years.
  • Corazón George T. Stagg Añejo Tequila: 22 months of maturation in barrels that previously aged the high-proof George T. Stagg.
  • Corazón William Larue Weller Añejo Tequila: 15 months of aging in barrels that formerly held this beloved wheated bourbon.
  • Corazón Artisanal Small Batch Blanco Tequila: the base spirit created by the artisans at Casa San Matias specifically for the Expresiones del Corazón Collection.

Each expression will retail at US$79.99, with the only exception being the Small Batch Blanco, which will go for US$59.99. All expressions are bottled at 40% ABV.
