Dalmore Collaborates With V&A Dundee For Second Anniversary Of Portfolio Series

 

The Dalmore has ushered in a second edition of its Portfolio Series for global travel retail (GTR).

Curated in collaboration with the V&A Dundee design museum, the annual series is a limited edition collection of whiskies finished in red wine casks and curated by The Dalmore’s master whisky makers.

Each year, the collection's look is designed in collaboration with V&A Dundee, Scotland's design museum. A different artist is chosen annually to create unique art for the packaging using their own specific techniques.

For this year's edition, The Dalmore partnered with graphic artist Gabriella Marcella, the founder and director of Risotto, a risograph print and design studio based in Scotland.

To visually represent the character of the whiskies, Marcella drew inspiration from themes of motion, process, and time. She also incorporated the distillery's heritage, specifically by using the tartan of the Mackenzie clan, which is linked to the distillery's founders.

Each colour is layered separately using a drum filled with soy-based inks, a technique that produces vibrant and tactile prints characterised by their ‘perfectly imperfect’ alignments and handcrafted appearance.

All three whiskies are presented without an age statement at natural colour and non-chill filtered.

The first expression , Portfolio Series No. 1, is finished in Bordeaux wine casks and bottled at 46.8% ABV. Limited to 3,595 bottles, the expression retails for £500 (US$635).

The No. 2 went through a secondary maturation in Châteauneuf-du-Pape casks. The edition is offered at 46% ABV and limited to 1,596 bottles, each retailing for £750 (US$953).

Completing the 2025 series, No. 3 was finished in Bordeaux Cabernet Sauvignon casks. The single malt is offered at 49.7% ABV and limited to 1,014 bottles. It retails for £1,000 (US$1,270).

The second iteration of the series will make its GTR debut on September 1 at Singapore Changi Airport, in an exclusive partnership with Lotte Duty Free. This one-month exclusive listing marks The Dalmore’s first-ever pop-up at the airport.

The series will roll out to additional international hub airports in October.
