Remy Martin, one of the leading Cognac houses globally, is celebrating its 300th Anniversary with a commemorative expression - the Remy Martin 300th Anniversary Coupe.
The expression was created by cellar master Baptiste Loiseau from the house's rare collection of Grande Champagne brandies, called the Reserve Perpetuelle, which has been passed from one cellar master to the next.
As is Remy Martin tradition, the 300th Anniversary Coupe builds upon the previously released 290th Anniversary Couple, which in turn was based on the 275th anniversary expression - like a really long email chain.
“To create the 300th Anniversary Coupe, I have come to enrich this blend with the treasures of our cellars and Grande Champagne terroir, which will be the legacy I leave to the next generation. By reserving some eaux-de-vie from this precious Coupe 300th Anniversary, the story will continue for future generations.”
Baptiste Loiseau, Remy Martin Cellar Master
This is said to create an expression that has aromas of "candied orange, passion fruit, sandalwood, leather, mixed spices, undergrowth, a hint of floral notes", and flavours of "candied fruit, passion fruit, fig, exotic fruits, nut and oak".
The design of the 300th Anniversary Coupe bottle pays homage to the 250th Anniversary Coupe bottling which was made in 1974, but this time, the brand's emblem has its lines embossed to signify forward motion, and will also come in a wooden case with a note from Loiseau and a QR code for more digital content.
A total of 6,724 bottles will be made available at US$2,735, arriving in March 2024.
