Notes - Limited to just 360 bottles, this is another special release by Aramasa. Although a Genshu, the alcohol only stands at 13% which is on the low side for a Genshu (usually 16% or more). This 🍶 is light and delicate in the mouth with lots of aroma of citrusy fruits which is the usual characteristic of Aramasa 🍶 due to using the No.6 yeast which is also the oldest yeast used in modern brewing. Although brewed using the traditional Kimoto method, the 🍶 is still very smooth and well balanced and with a high acidity and a grapefruit tartness aftertaste.
The 🍶 was enjoyed over dinner @hearth_singapore where Head Chef Koki San entertained us with his delicious Oden 🍢 and tapas appetizers consisting of chicken salad and nori seaweed and not forgetting the Ehiire which always goes well with any alcoholic drink. Chef Koki San is no stranger to the Oden 🍢 scene as he was previously the chef at Kamoshita, another Oden 🍢 restaurant. This 🍶 makes prefect pairing with the Oden 🍢 as it helps to add a hint of sourness to the Oden soup. It is like squeezing a sudachi lime into the Oden soup which makes it very refreshing and exciting.
This is yet another amazing 🍶 by my favorite brewery and I will highly recommend to everyone who have yet to try an Aramasa 🍶. Not many restaurants in 🇸🇬 carry Aramasa and @hearth_singapore happens to be one of the few. 👏 👏 👏
