Mikotsuru Junmai Muroka Nama Genshu Origarami
ABV: 16%; Rice: Suwa Miyanishiki
RPR: 65%
I’ve found myself fancy-ing a couple of different sakes from Mikotsuru and had the opportunity to try this before getting it.
Also, my second bottle of origarami, and I had the impression that it would be an effervescent sake and it wasn’t at all. Definitely more of a nigori, but not as ricey.
Overall, I would say that this was a rather well-balanced sake. It is a medium-full bodied with stronger rice notes, yet with a short to medium finish.
More on the dry side, yet not overwhelming. I had edamame with most of it (which was a good pairing). However, this can definitely stand on it’s own without any pairing.
