BB King & Eric Clapton - Riding With The King from 2000. BB King passed away on this day 14th May in 2015. Twenty years earlier, BB had said in his memoir that he dreamed of dying while holding either Lucille or a woman, but he'd settle for passing in his sleep. And that was how he went ... BB was 89.

Despite meeting their first meeting in 1967, Clapton and BB never made a record together. Around 1998, Clapton had an epiphany. "I thought, I love this man, and I don't know how many opportunities we're gonna have." Clapton would make it happen. He tendered an invitation. BB gleefully accepted.
