Ardbeg 10, Ardbeg Distillery Limited, 46% abv.

This shot was a treat from the MWD Kyushu and Tokyo Area Managers.

Nose: smoke, honey, wood, slightly peaty, typical Islay-mafia. Background of melon.

Palate: intense, meaty, smokey, slightly salty, typical Islay-mafia.

Finish: short, wood and smoke. Again typical Islay-mafia.

Dry glass: bacon like, smoked wood.

As usual, this Ardbeg is intense, smokey, meaty, and salty sweet at the end. I love this type of flavor profile. Not much to say other than it's a typical Islay-mafia dram and a very good benchmark.

Grade: B-
