Benriach 1968-2010, 41 years, Hogshead Cask No. 2709, 16/104, 51.0% abv.

Nose: major vanilla, major toast, great body.

Palate: dry, wow major almond jello fruit juice, intense, back palate is like jello and lychee juice, minor smoke. After some time it becomes a little woody, but quickly transforms to a light fruit cup, a cross between standard fruits and tropical fruits, like cherries with mangoes. Quite sweet and syrupy. Its consistent after time.

Finish: medium, quite dry, can't really tell if its abv burn or white pepper spice, light coat of tropical fruits.

This is an amazing whisky! It maintains its own nose and flavor profile! It's not overwhelming and delivers its profile extremely well. Major tropical fruit cocktail, jello, slight wood, almost a fruit bomb.

Grade: A
