Nose: heavy port, heavy beef consome, potato and bacon soup, backend of wet old steamed lotus leaves, this all fades to vanilla and toast.

Palate: smooth, light, very dry, mid palate is light wood, but big boiled fruit, not so sweet though, back palate starts off with wet old steamed lotus leaves but transitions to a boiled dark fruit flavor.

Finish: medium, a combination of light fruit sweetened wet old steamed lotus leaves, becomes cooked strawberries.

A very interesting Benriach. I thought it started off like a port, but then it transformed to wet old steamed lotus leaves and then transforms again to dark fruits.

Grade: B
