Bowmore 16, 1993-2010, The Whisky Agency, The Perfect Dram, 222 bottles, 53.8% abv.
Nose: smells exactly like "fun guo" (潮州粉粿), that Chinese dim sum item that has pork, carrots, peas, chives, mushrooms, wrapped in a thick glutinous rice layer and steamed.
Palate: smooth, two staged flavors, initially honey sweet, it transitions into a back palate of smoked wood. The combination turns everything into smoke honey wood.
Finish: long, warm, low levels of smoke, mostly gravelly asphalt, dry wood.
Dry glass: lightly boiled dry tofu skin.
Seems like a normal cask strength Bowmore, it's sweet and smokey, but this one is more sweet than anything. The finish is interesting as it was relatively more distinguished than the other pours tonight.
