Why Moine? My Islay-tongue isn't as fluent as it uses to be.... actually I never spoke Islay-tongue.
Nose: confusing, a mesquite bbq, green apples, weird smoked cheese, fungus.
Palate: sweet before the spice and it is quite spicy, more like ground red pepper paste typically found in korean restaurants (고추장). With each sip, the spice moves from the mid palate to the back palate and loses a bit of intensity as well as body.
Finish: moderate, spice residue, fruit skin bitterness.
This one was weird from beginning to finish. The nose was a combination of flavors on disparaging parts of the map, while the flavors were a tag team of initial sweetness and then a sweet, tangy spicness that carries into the finish. It's really hard to describe what I just had, but I tried. I'm giving a higher grade because its unique, very unique. Had this at Abyss, Seoul, South Korea.
