Wonderful dram, and a delightfully balanced older sherried Clynelish.
Tasting Notes
Nose: cinnamon, allspice, cloves
Palate: Dark, thick, sweet as expected of sherry but with a bit of zest. Cola with a wedge of lime, honey. Slightly viscous but not as fine as the Springbank Samaroli or almost wine gum-esque Chichibu 9yo merlot cask I had the same day.
Finish: Nutmeg, lemon meringue, touch of molasses, soy wax
A solid 91 and I'll be looking out for a bottle, because I love to have zest cut through moderate sherrying.
