Craigellachie is a cult favourite and sleeper hit here. But rarely does it touch more esoteric casks, like rum. This was finished for 21 months in a Foursquare rum cask, after a first maturation in an undisclosed cask. Total of 14 years when bottled in 2020.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Coconut milkshake, cocoa, hint of copper like on worn pennies

Palate: Avocado, nectarines, coconut water

Finish: Cilantro herbal edge shows the Craigellachie distillate, cucumber, treacle

Not the most complex but a rich satisfying coconut and treacle bomb balanced against the Craigellachie dirtiness. 88.
