Bar Hiramatsu is in Osaka.
Nose: strong sherry, overlying waxy tone, almost nutty/powdery, old dried red wine.
Palate: very dry, overall nutty, almost chalky, initial palate is dried fruit, cacao or light bitter chocolate. mid palate is more dried fruit, black currants, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, with some corn husks, actually extreme dried fruit, in parricular raisins, and chalk, this converts to a dry and nutty back palate of dehydrated fruit... fruit jerky. The mummy of berries.
Finish: medium, raisin residue, very dry.
I really don't know what to say about this one other than it's an extremely dried and dehydrated fruit dram. You can tell there is major fruit, but all the moisture and most of the sweetness and body has been sucked away somewhere, leaving nothing but hints at what it was or could be. A little unexpected from Glenfarclas, but then again, they are always random.
