Release sp17.

Nose: major sherry, honey, and crust of toasted egg bread. When my nose is at a distance I get chocolate, light vanilla, hints of fresh toast.

Palate: wood, some fruit. After awhile, I get light prunes, a few fruits, some sweet toast with condensed milk.

Finish: bread, dry, honey, abv numbness. Interestingly, that honey gets more prevalent with more sips.

The nose was impressive, but the palate was a little typical. I guess what other tasters admire about sherry casked whiskies, or "sherry bombs", is present in this bottle as well, but not what I think a sherry bomb should be or is.

Grade: B-
