Glenfiddich 15, Cask Strength, 51% abv.
Nose: musky, concentrated, earthy, dried cut grass, a little floral, background of fruits particular grapes. A little later it becomes more vegetative. Smells like a farm.
Palate: initially light honey that intensifies with time, caramel, back palate has some form of abv burn. With time, the molasses and honey-like sweetness dominate.
Finish: moderate, general molasses type of sweetness with remnants of chocolate randomly showing up here and there.
This is quite good! I came in underestimating it, since standard Glenfiddich products tend to be pretty plain nowadays in my opinion, but this one is quite good. Reminds me of Balvenie. It's straightforward and simple, doesn't beat around the bush with its sweet forward profile in all aspects.
