Just In 👉 Redbreast Brings 18 Year Old To Core Range

Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 12 Years Old, 46% abv.

Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 12 years, 46% abv.

Supposedly the same juice used in Glenmoramgie the Original 10 years is put into port casks and matured an additional 2 years before bottled. This line used to be NAS until 2010.

Nose: honey, sherry type, major raisins, modern perfume, quite nice.
Palate: slightly dry, major wood, some smoked wood, heat, couldn't tell it was port cask related though. Not alot going on after a few sips.
Finish: short, heat.

Its an interesting dram on the first sip, but nothing after that, couldn't tell its a port cask type. To be honest, if I didn't know it was port cask finished, I would think it's not bad for a 12 year old islay... but its highland... crap.. changed my mind.
Had this at Bar Alice, Seoul, South Korea (they have a cover charge). It's a pretty nice place and I'd recommend @alice_cheongdam for the cocktails only.

Grade: C
