Wait... a Hunter Laing OMC?

Nose: smoke and wood, bbq, Islay nose.

Palate: smoke, wood, sharp from initial to mid palate, sour, sharp smoke, and wood, typical Islay flavors, back palate is more peat smokey and sweet where the sweetness is more similar to concentrated white sugar.

Finish: medium to long, smokey, a little tongue numbing.

Very good and it is exactly what I expect from Laphroaig. The younger age statements are always for me, although their profiles become indistinguishable with only a focus on peated smoke. Just my type.

Grade: B+
