Old Malt Cask, Blair Athol 20, 1995, Sherry Butt ref. 12149, 597 bottles, 50% abv.
Nose: super sherry, sweet red wine, red fruits.
Palate: sherry, some wood that reveals itself more with each sip, slight bitterness at the end.
Finish: short with a wood bitterness that gets slightly stronger with time.
Dry glass: old wood, old steamed lotus leaf, hints of dried fruit.
Lovely dram with an amazing nose! One of the best aromas in a scotch I've had the pleasure of drinking. Pretty solid. The finish leaves much to be desired though. Had this at @polestar_seoul , Seoul, South Korea.
