88 Bamboo is Asia’s freshest drinks companion. We are an online editorial that connects and empowers drink lovers in Asia, making drinks appreciation accessible and enjoyable for all.

 

Through breaking news, reviews, distillery deep dives, bar spotlights, opinions and interviews, 88 Bamboo is your guide to the world of drinks, from spirits to ferments, high proof's to wines, Sake's, craft beers, mead and even local specialties (and of course, non-alcoholic beverages too!). We also occasionally pair them with food, but always make sure to bring along open-mindedness, curiosity and laughter. We’re not your grandfather’s Scotch – we cut through the jargon and bring you the stories, people, and flavours that make great drinks great. Based in Asia, we aim to give a voice to the Asian palate.

To us, greats drinks are a conversation in liquid form, and we want to keep the conversation flowing! And through our many adventures, we've also begun to dream of a world where we can easily jot down our reviews all in one place regardless of the category of drink, have a nifty cellar in our pockets so we always know what we've got stashed away, find friends and read what others have to say, and even easily pull up the menu and find out what's on pour today at our favourite bars, restaurants and that festival we're hitting up this weekend - turns out there wasn't anything like it. And so we figured we'd make one ourselves - a bonafide drinks app for drinks lovers by drinks lovers - we call it Drink-X.
