Banana Bread Old Fashioned⁣

2 oz banana infused Heaven Hill Rittenhouse Rye ⁣
⁣
.25 to .5 oz walnut orgeat⁣
⁣
1 dash cardamom bitters⁣
⁣
1 dash angostura bitters⁣
⁣
garnish with walnuts and dried banana chips.  Swipe for an alternative and super mature garnish. ⁣

This one was inspired by a drink we used to have on the menu at Porter Ale House in Austin Texas.  The original used Bourbon infused with banana, brown sugar syrup, and black walnut bitters.  I'm out of Bourbon and don't have those bitters so I tried it this way instead. ⁣

I think Bourbon would probably fit better with the sweet flavors going on here, but I like rye more anyways. I made the orgeat with walnuts, cinnamon, clove, vanilla, orange flower water, and brown sugar and it's fire.  I've been putting it in my coffee, protein shakes, and anything else I can justify. ⁣

I bought a shit ton of bananas to make the infusion and the chips so I'm fermenting the leftovers for an experiment I'll be trying soon so keep your eyes peeled.
