Dragonfruit and Lychee Daiquri
2oz gold or white Cuban rum (I used Havana Club 3 anos)
1oz fresh lime juice .75 oz dragonfruit syrup . 25 oz lychee liqueur
shake, double strain into a coupe, garnish with dehydrated or fresh dragonfruit
This is a pretty simple twist on a daiquiri. I wanted to keep it close to the classic recipe. It came out fruity ,sweet, sour, and strong. I was really pleased with this, moreso than a lot of other drinks I've created. And damn that color is so awesome.
I do think a splash of grapefruit juice would be nice in this, but I think that about most liquids because I love grapefruit. Also this dragonfruit syrup would go great with tequila so maybe a margarita--esq drink would be worth a shot.
