Who Threw That?

• 2oz Vodka
• 1 oz lime juice
• .75 oz blue curacao
• .5 oz creme de violet
• .5 oz cinnamon simple
• egg white

Dry shake, strain, garnish with an orange peel and a sweet blue shell enamel pin.

In honor of the fact that my friend group remains intact after many a game night.

I've had some unkind opinions of Blue Curacao in the past. The artificial color and sweetness has never appealed to me much, especially when there are many other quality orange liqueurs out there.

But I got this sweet pin so I set out to make a blue cocktail to match it. I dusted off the blue curacao that had been sitting in the far back of my liquor cabinet and threw this together with stuff I wanted to use up. The flavor is mostly citrus and cinnamon. The creme de violet is from The Bitter Truth and didn't contribute much besides darkening the color.

To be honest I think it'd be a lot better with a white rum than vodka, but that's what I had.
