Fruited Sour | ABV 7.0%
For the longest time, I thought I'd drank this sour but it was hidden away deeply in the fridge and I was making space for some new beers when I found them (I'm sorry Dr Joe). I'm a clown if this tastes slightly off than it should, it really HAS been a while!
Pours a reddish-brown, like pu-erh tea, actually tastes like a regular homemade ice lemon tea you get at Chinese eateries or drink stalls at more traditional coffee shops. Has a combined aroma of roasted coconut and coconut oil, it kinda clashes with the overall citrusy profile, which made us go 🤔🤨🧐.
If you dismissed the citrus taste notes, and make out the subtle pineapple notes, you can imagine an off-version of a piña colada in here. Underripe pineapple, tart, not juicy/sweet unlike the ripened ones and blended flesh from old coconuts. I'm very certain it will taste different if I drank it when I received it 🤣
My father's unfiltered review:
"Smells like coconut oil, has a citrusy aftertaste, like lemon, lime and tangerine. Kind of dry, a bit bitter, not hoppy bitterness but lemon peel bitterness. Not my type of sour, out of all the sours you torture me with. The taste profile is too confusing for me."
My mother's unfiltered review:
"Sour la, what else" 🙄
