Aspiring Beam Of Light | Sudden Death × Elmeleven
Fruit Sour | ABV 5.0%
Led by citrusy yuzu followed by the aromas of just ripened Hawaiian papayas (not from Hawaii, but Philippines), juicy sweetness from its deep orange-red flesh. Tangy and zesty like the Korean citron jam they use to make drinks with. Pours thick, almost like blended mango juice.
I don't get the banana purée in this either, I get a lot of mango instead. This sorta reminds me of Amos Sweets' Fruit Peelerz, specifically the peelable mango gummy. Haven't had that sweet but I'd imagine them to have some of that lovely sweetness in this sour. Tons of mango and vanilla gelato swirl, this has been a joy. To balance out this fruit packed sour, you've got a sprinkle of sea salt at the end.
My father's unfiltered review:
"Leaning more on the sweeter end of yuzu than citrusy. Very thick, I get pulpy packham pears in this + juicy pink pomelo. A little salty lor, but I can't taste the papaya, banana and vanilla in this. Nice, I approve of this sour."
My mother's unfiltered review:
"Look like orange juice, sweet like Cara Cara navel oranges, the ones with red flesh, thick like a fruit smoothie. Very sweet, very easy to drink." - 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘺 𝘨𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘯𝘰 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦
