Let's kick things off with the beer tonight. Beerfarm West Coast Lager is a classic German-style lager brewed in the world famous Margaret River region of Western Australia. The Beerfarm is located 300km south of Perth in an old dairy farm and hay shed that was last used in the late 1940s. A herd of Black Angus cattle live on The Beerfarm and eat grass from the paddocks and spent grain from the brewing process and Beerfarm is very much focused on recycling, upcycling and a range of other sustainability practicesWith a brilliant pale colour and delightful hop aroma, Beerfarm West Coast Lager is a 4.4% ABV thirst quencher with a crisp, balanced finish. Perfect to kick back and chuck on some Eagles.
Speaking of "One of These Nights” was written by Don Henley and Glenn Frey. It was produced by Bill Szymczyk. According to Glenn Frey, the song is about putting things off. He said:
“We’ve all said ‘One of these nights I’m gonna do something: get that girl, make that money, find that house’. We all have our dreams, a vision we hope will come true someday. When that ‘someday’ will come is up to each of us.”
“One of These Nights” hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for a week in August of 1975.
The album itself is a classic too. The catalyst for their phoenix-like return was Frey's 25-year-old son.
Taking to the stage, Henley said the band would be playing "two-and-a-half hours of music - because we can.
"And the reason we can is because we have Glenn's son Deacon up here with us."
So throw on your favourite flannelette shirt and turn it up!
