This world it is not safe,
We must make plans to leave this place, We'll build a colony,
On nearby planets known to me
What a sing along!
It seems like aeons ago when Children Collide were an almost ubiquitous presence in the Australian music scene. Thanks to ARIA charting albums and songs in the Hottest 100, the Melbourne-based band were beloved by those enthralled by their punk-infused indie rock and renowned live proficiency.
In live sets, the trio play hard and tight and the crowd agree along with their own communal head bob. Punters are kept on their toes from the first song to the last, wondering when the next shredding solo would propel Mackay and his long blonde locks into a pin-balling frenzy back and forth across the stage. All in all, it's a Rock album you will play again and again.
Speaking of something you can hit repeatedly, Australia's 2018 AIBA Champion Small Brewery, Black Hops (Not to be confused with Black Ops Call of Duty) The Send It Session Ale is as light and breezy as the Gold Coast city it is produced in. Light in colour with fruity flavour and easy finish, this beer is sessionable without compromising on flavour. You will be back to the Esky in no time.
