Blueberry Boysenberry Cobbler | Vault City
Pastry Sour | ABV 8.4%
What a murky reddish brown this is, like a pint of crime that's bout to happen; aka my dad's scrunched up face when he tasted this sour, probably gave him 1000x more wrinkles in a second than he ever had in the past years of dealing with me 😂
Light berry aromas (and deceptive) because you dive straight into the deep end of a savoury cinnamon pool, which I'm not sure whether I love or hate it, then it sort of lays out the fact that there's blueberry, boysenberry, crushed raisins, prunes, plums and a lil vanilla in there.
The cinnamon gives a herbal and spice element to the sour, and it has reminiscence of Nin Jiom Cold Remedy (effective relief for cold & flu in the form of brown concentrated granules).
It's lovelier as it warms up, the cinnamon takes a backseat and juicy, sweet & thick berry-forward notes grows. Maybe the secret to drinking this after all is to let it sit there and stare back at you for 5 mins 😂
