Bojak Brewing That’s Amore x Domenico Modugno - Volare

The colour blue is a beautiful thing, and especially today as the colour of the Euro 2020 Champions Italy. Forza Azzuri!!!!

The next pick is a song whose title translates to “In the blue, painted blue", the track being the song “Nel blu, dipinto di blu” written and performed Domenico Modugno and Franco Migliacci. The song is better known as “Volare” was released in 1958; and then released as an English / Italian version by Dean Martin.

Dean Martin was one of the first artists to cover the song, which was renamed ‘Volare’ and had parts of the song translated into English by New York lyricist Mitchell Parish. This song is one of the great things of Italian culture, right up there with Pasta, Pizza, Cannoli and the Azzuri becoming the kings of European football.

Now for the beer, and no its not a Peroni, but Peroni Red is pretty amazing still. It’s the brew “It’s Amore” from our friends at Bojak Brewing. It's a lightly dry hopped Pilsner which results in a refreshing, crisp, clean lager perfect for when the sun is shining. It has a firm bitterness just like a Pilsner but with a light hoppy fruity aroma that tastes like victory.
