Bound In Wood Vanilla 2020, Barleywine, Amundsen Brewery

Beautiful but meaningless wax dip, which I am all for, and a sleek textured sticker. The juice lived up to the gorgeous exterior. Smoke and wood are the main notes of the nose, backed by some sweetness. Flavour is amazing; notes of honey, dark fruits, wood tannins, sweet caramel or vanilla I cannot really tell. Texture is fantastic, almost like a thicker honey water. A mildly malty finish alongside some wood notes.

Amazing amazing drink from Amundsen and a top notch can design. Also think I am struggling to pick up vanilla notes that are not overly obvious so I guess more vanilla adjuncted drinks for me.
