Weird album titles and a huge follow up to a successful album. We go back to the year 2000.
Hot Dog Flavored Water is an inside joke started by Wes Borland at a truck stop while the band was on tour, where Borland saw bottles of Crystal Geyser flavored water, and made a joke about having meat or hot dog flavors.Fred calls himself Chocolate Starfish, because people call him an asshole all the time.
Paying respect to the greats, samples "Life in the Fast Lane" by the American rock band The Eagles. The lyrics of "My Generation" reference "My Generation" by The Who and "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns N' Roses. Scott Weiland – vocals on "Hold On"
Scott sings on the track and brings a new sound to the Album, one to be remembered. RIP brother 🤘
Wes was inspired to do a move known as “dive bombing” by watching trombone players. It involves a locking tremolo system that leads him to describe his style as “snappy, complicated riffs that have a lot of dive bomb-type, whammy bar push-and-pull suction sound in them”.
All of this sound makes some sort of nu-metal rap rock, a genre that was popular at the time and refined the Bizkit. This is what we got instead of Y2K. The millennium bizkit.
BRICK LANE RED HOPPY ALE
Red Hoppy Ale has a rich, red amber body driven through caramel malts layered in the brew, not dark, not light.
Also, the red can pairs very well with Fred's red cap!
Album - Limp Bizkit Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog Flavoured Water.
Highlight - Boiler
Gem - Hold On
Beer Pairing - @bricklanebrewing RED HOPPY ALE
