Cantina Mansueto 2021 by CRAK Brewery

CRAK BREWERY CANTINA MANSUETO 2021
Style: Barrel Aged English Barley Wine
By CRAK Brewery, Campodarsego, Padova, Veneto, Italy 🇮🇹
ABV: 14%
My rating: 4.4/5

Crak is famous for their IPAs but the best of their craftsmanship can't be anything but Mansueto, blend of BA Barley Wines.

Vinous on the nose, grape, dark fruits, raisins, fig, cognac, spices.

Dark copper pour, small, dense beige head that retains around the glass surface. Medium sweetness, caramel, toffee, raisin, fig, cognac, prunes, red wine, port, wood, slightly peppery.

Full bodied, low carbonation, booze is there and kicks in slowly, not much burn though.

Perfect barleywines, which manages to be sweet but not sickening, warm but not a fireplace beer. After 2 years I reckon there is still room for further aging to round it up even more. A great brew.
