Chilli Lager

Not sure if anyone caught on to this drama series "The Way of Hot and Spicy"?

It's about Japanese people eating realllllly spicy food and having a epiphany of their problem on hand. While I'm not a fan of extreme spicy food, I find it pretty funny and somewhat like the Japanese version of Let's Eat - Korean drama that is alllllll about eating which I love alot. Why can't Singapore come up with something like that! πŸ˜‹

Anyway, back to this beer! I got it from Cold Storage on offer (at 3.50SGD if my memory serves me well).

Poured with a hazy pale straw body, it opened with a nice malty smell. With the first gulp, I experienced tingling spiciness from the back of the throat which then extended to the lips. The spiciness lingers for quite a long while. It's quite a unique feeling/taste coming from a beer and probably not something you would expect from such a cute looking label (did I say it was a collab withΒ @sanrio?) At higher temperatures, this lager actually gets spicier. It's not really something I would buy again but fortunate to try it for its novelty.

It's definitely not your everyday beer, I mean I like spicy food but not a spicy food fanatic (McSpicy gives me the runs to the toilet but I still eat them sometimes).
