I have a love-hate relationship with Wee Heavy. I like the idea of it and will try it when it’s available, but it’s so difficult to find Scotch ales that I like.

Enter Great Divide Brewing Company, a brewery that I have a love-hate relationship with (notice a trend yet?); they’re a classic American craft brewery with famous brews like Yeti, yet I (see wot I did there?) don’t enjoy many of them.

I like Claymore. A fair bit. It reminds me of a Belgian strong dark ale and — surprisingly — goes well with pig trotters in black vinegar. This will go down as a ‘W’ for Great Divide and Wee Heavies, and I’ll get more of this when there’s space again in my fridge.
