Colonial IPA
Got a full range of Colonial's flagship from my friend @nixxynixxynixxy and this is one of it. Originating from an Australia brewery and I believe only Australia cans come in 375ml. That extra 45ml sure made a big difference.
Poured hazy yellow, pineapple aroma was very prominent. But I feel that the thing about most IPAs is that this sweet fruity aroma usually doesn't last long as it's quickly negated by the piney backbone and lingering bitter aftertaste.
After tasting quite a number of IPAs lately, I think I get it... As to why some people can be IPA fans. I feel that it's a beer style that you savour slowly and wait for the temperature to pick up slightly as I noticed from this one especially, the sweetness was steadily being brought out making it increasing enjoyable and the bitterness at the beginning was quickly forgotten.
Happy Friday people!
